Special Abilities[edit]

Appearance[edit]

An adult Ursa Major resembles a gigantic, monstrous, purple bear with yellow and red eyes. Like other star beasts, they have semi-transparent bodies dotted with small white dots resembling the night sky.

The Ursa Major differs from normal bears in that it has massive claws, saber-tooth fangs, and a long tail.

The Ursa Minor (a younger variant of the Ursa Major) is blue instead of purple, its claws and fangs have yet to fully grow, and its tail is signifigantly shorter. Ursas also have a single large "Star" in the middle of their foreheads, which is white during infancy and turns bright blue when they reach maturity.

Behavior[edit]

Of the star beasts, Ursas are (thankfully) passive creatures, prefering to secclude themselves in massive, subterranean dens. There are few accounts of attacks, but Ursas are fully capable of leveling cities. Due to the unique properties of star beasts' physique, there is no known way to vanquish an Ursa Minor/Major. Rather, they are only dispelled, to shortly reconstruct themselves, stronger and larger than before.

Even the fabled God King had chosen to vanquish them, rather than destroy them. Some speculate that was out of kindness, others believe it is because there is no real way to destroy them.

Trivia[edit]

  • According to calculations made by unicorn scholars, a full-grown Ursa Major may be well over thirteen stories (roughly 130 feet) tall.
