The Quarray Eel looks a lot like a gigantic moray eel, with the important difference that these creatures do not have gills.
Behavior[edit]
Quarray eels are almost always hungry and they will strike at ANYTHING that happens to pass in front of their nests. Adult quarray eels will rarely leave the safety of their nests once they move into them. In fact, a majority of the quarray eel's body length remains inside the nest when they strike out for food in order to keep their balance (which is why Quarray eels prefer to live in canyons and gorges: less room for prey to escape and it's easier to keep their balance).
Trivia[edit]
- Quarray eels do not actually dig their own nests, as they lack the claws of drilling capabilities that would allow them to do so. More often than not, quarray eels will often employ the help of a Bulette to dig their cave-like nests for them. In a strange mutual relationship, the quarray eels will donate the bones of their prey to the landshark (which the landshark consumes) in return for these services.
